I have this Piko White pass #37 steam locomotive 0-6-0 with sound and smoke. The sound system is working fine , but the smoke does not come. After how long will the smoke start to come. I am using an 12 volts DC controller. Is it important that I use Piko 22 volts DC controller for this operation.

I've just bought one of the White Pass "5-Ton locos. Really impressed with it. I've not had a battery powered loco before. The only odd thing is that when I unpacked it the front grill piece was missing. I'm sure PIKO will send me one though so I've contacted them via their website. I'm in the UK.

I'm a big fan of your turnouts, I've got 8 of them. With battery power, I just let the locomotives switch the points on my reverse loops while I sit in my lounger and sip my margaritas watching the trains run! Unfortunately, I model "A" scale because I started with USA Trains and want to stick with that scale. Do you produce any 1:29 scale? Thanks.

I lost the lighting on it I do not know what happened hit number 9 one two times and nothing was good for about a week and does not work now looking for help try resetting it and that did not work

"Patiently" waiting for the SP version of the DRGW model...also please make your sound versions easier to program to the modeler's preference for function keys. Great models, looking for to the updated versions of these units and the "hood" style units!

When doing this install as shown, if the locomotive has interior lights how does that function? Do they go out when switching from forward to reverse and visa versa?

I’m wondering why you designed this sound unit so that it does not match the wheel speed of the locomotive. Your mogul sound system perfectly matches the chuff with the wheel rotation. Why wasn’t the same quality built into this one?

Are the sounds in the new 37450 decoder changeable? Is it a soundtraks decoder ? I like the loco but I'd want the American style horn, bell etc. Nice that you made something more modern. I hope you do more like a GP35 or something. Finally what s scale is it and will dimensions given someplace? I am curious to see how it fits next to a LGB F7 or a USAT GP38-2 for instance. Just put my layout outside and noticed after a few days there is some discoloration on the factory installed rail joiners. Electrical contacts are still good and loco is moving smoothly but is it advisable to put the conductive paste in the factory installed joiner (fishplate)? Or do i need to buy the over rail joiner?

Do you guys make accessory coal load for these cars?

I was skeptical about the sounds as I do have a preference for my preferred brand but I do love these engines and their sounds. I just wish they had a 21pinMTC/NEM decoder slot instead of 22plux but I guess it was for the lights or future update with the radiator fans.

Really hoping you do the 2nd generation hood units. I need me a 9010 model, been following their restoration for almost a decade now.

I have both versions of this, love everything about it except one thing, the locomotive doesn't stop! When you put the throttle at zero, the engine will slow down and then coast at that speed for about 5 second or so, then stop. I contacted PIKO and where I bought it at Trainworld and every suggestion didn't help at all. I fooled with the CV's a bit and managed to figure out a combination that allowed me to slow it before I wanted to stop and then when I wanted it to stop it does.....kind of. I was going to use these as a switcher but there is no way you can use it for that, you'd overshoot all of your switching duties! Very frustrating, probably my first and last N scale PIKO purchase.
